The exhibition is the result of a collaboration of four women painters, each working in a unique style and medium, to create paintings of Pittsburgh's industrial history. My direction evolved to focus on the neighborhoods surrounding the steel mills, specifically the porches.
Working from archival photos created a new challenge--taking another's vision and reworking the design, composition, and style to create a new vision and story.
