Latest painting for "Watercolor Made Easy: Portraits"

Here's the 2nd project from "Watercolor Made Easy: Portraits". I will be painting a total of ten portraits for the book, which is due out in Spring 2012. Each portrait will show all the steps, from begining sketch to final painting.

I don't have a title for this portrait yet. Any suggestions?

"Back in the past"

He seems lost in thought. Certainly of a love no longer around. His red shirt speaks of passion...

Well done. Best of luck with the book!

I love this one and think he looks like he is waiting for someone or maybe just checking out the view while waiting for the elevator??!!

WOW, Peggi, another intriguing portrait. I don't know if I can wait till next spring - I was ready to go out and buy your book this week!!!

Absolutely brilliant! Good luck with the book.....not that you need luck.....your talent does it all.

Oh thanks so much everyone! I like your interpretations, Susan and Vicki. Your ideas got me thinking about visiting. I think "One Last Visit" could make a good title. He could be visiting his wife in the hospital, his old childhood home, or an old friend.

"Waiting to Go". It does seem like he has his hat and jacket on and is waiting for a ride. I like the light on his face, his turned body, the sensitive handling of his face. Great portrait!

Thanks, Amit.
Great suggestion, Kim!

I was going to say that he is waiting for someone to come and take him for a trip somewhere, here in UK he would be thinking 'wonder if it will rain'

You have a nice touch. What is the size of this one?
I tend to title my portraits simply with the person's name. That's boring, eh?

I immediately thought of the Neil Diamond song titles "Song Sung Blue"
How would you like that as a title for this wonderful piece.

That's a fun title Silvia. Now I have that song buzzing in my head all day, thanks! :-)
