New Watercolor Portrait, "The Dancer"

This is Reuben, one of the elderly I've met at the nursing home. Reuben is 94 years old and has some incredibly vivid stories from his childhood. One of his favorite things to talk about was when he would go dancing each weekend as a young man. I took this photo when he was telling me about meeting his late wife Beulah at one of the dances.

Latest watercolor, "Telling Stories"

Recently, I've been painting some wonderful folks living at a nearby retirement home. They will be the subject of a solo exhibition I'm doing in October that will include their portrait and tell their unique stories.

This is Thelma. She has a great laugh and hilarious tales from her childhood. She turns 94 next week.
