Recently, I've been painting some wonderful folks living at a nearby retirement home. They will be the subject of a solo exhibition I'm doing in October that will include their portrait and tell their unique stories. This is Thelma. She has a great laugh and hilarious tales from her childhood. She turns 94 next week.
"Telling Stories", watercolor, 13 x 16" unframed

Ohhhh! I love this one! Gave me chills!
This is a beautiful, vibrant portrait! And the drawings are superb, too...
I can tell by your portrait that Thelma is so full of life. It's a beautiful painting.
wow Peggi. There is so much life and energy in this portrait. Such a wonderful story too.
i love the vibrant colours you have chosen in this portrait. it is also interesting how character is reflected in the choice of colours we use when making a portrait. this is a refreshing choice. r.
Oh Peggi, this is beautiful.
THIS IS PHENOMENAL!!!!!!
I love the idea of giving Thelma a series of sketches of her as compensation for doing her portrait. That seems more personal and something more valuable than monetary compensation.
