My View of the World This Week

Thank you all for your good wishes!
Surgery went well. All that's left is to rest this baby and hopefully be back in action next week. This has been a great time to organize my computer, clean off all those old files and backup my files and images. My family has been great, so helpful. Yesterday, however, I was stuck in my bedroom and no one downstairs could hear me calling. Thank god for cell phones!

Also a good time to catch up on some reading. I received a Charles Reid book for Christmas, "Watercolor Solutions: Learn To Solve The Most Common Painting Problems". Great book, as usual, from a great painter. Can't wait to try out some of his suggestions.

Poor Peggi. I see that's your right foot also. That's a bummer.
I broke my left leg a few years ago ... and was just grateful it was the left so I could drive. I don't know what I'd done if I didn't have my wheels.
Get better soon sweet lady.

Hi Linda,
Tell Maisie I said thanks!!

Manon,
You're right, it's really not that bad. I told my husband today that I probably should have this surgery every Jan. just to keep up with my computer backup...Not!

Thanks, Vikki. You know I tried driving yesterday to the doctors, one foot on brake, one on the gas...not my brightest idea, especially when the closest parking was 3 blocks away! Think I'll stick close to home for a while.

Yeah, please be sure to take it easy to make sure your recovery period stays as brief as possible. Glad you have some good reading! Great drawing!

Peggi, this is a really nice drawing. The boy's concern, the doggie's eyes, the point of view--it's all original and funny. Why don't you do more like this of your circumstances? That would make a really original autobiography.
I hope you are up and around now.

Love the drawing, Peggi. I also think a drawing "diary" of this recovery period would be interesting. Wishing you a speedy recovery,
