Figure Session at Double Door Gallery

Double Door Gallery has figure drawing/painting sessions once a month on Wednesday evenings. Our favorite model, Joanna of Third Street Belly Dance, was on hand to inspire us.

We start with quick 30-second poses, then several 1-minute poses.

We work on several longer poses, about 20 minutes each.

Figure drawing/painting sessions are held the first Weds. of the month from 7-9 p.m. at Double Door Gallery. Cost is $10. Bring your favorite drawing/painting supplies (no oils) and easel or drawing board to work on.

I would love to be involved in a figure drawing class. You've given me stimulus to seek one out in my area. It reminds of school. I loved these classes.

Vikki, Robin and Manon-
Yes, definitely reminds me of those college days too, except I didn't really enjoy it as much back then. (Maybe has something to do with having a noisy houseful of kids??) Seriously though, after drawing my sleeping family from life night after night, this is a lively change!

What wonderful sketches! I used to draw a bellydancer on Maui. She was a favorite model, and I wish I could import her!!! I love life drawing.

if this is a belly dancer, then you must make her middle eastern. Blonde belly dancers are hopeless. In my opinion.
