New, Updated Studio

Finally! A space to call my own. After several years of sharing space with the kids' computer, school papers and my husband's little "I'll get to it" piles, I booted everyone out. What is left is a space to create, plan, store and read. I painted over the psycho green walls with a neutral gray and dark brown. I created a new filing system, sorted and tossed materials I'm no longer using and made it "breathable". Now all that's left is to find time to paint!

Looks like you created yourself a great space!! Wish my studio could be that organized.

I had a great time visiting your site –you do perceptual work.

Thank you for the nice comments. Judy, honestly, my studio is probably the only room in our house that doesn't have skateboards, big sweaty teenage boy shoes and dust bunnies the size of Montana in it. :-)

This is a wonderful blog, Peggi. I like that Sargent quote on the header.
I haven't seen Pittsburgh in years but I used to love my drive over the Monangahela (such a pretty word but I'm no longer sure of the spelling!) on the way to school (Fox Chapel) in the morning. It IS a beautiful city. Your portraits are excellent and your writing is friendly and clear, so you make a good teacher. Good luck painting in the new studio. I wish I had one as nice.

Oh, so close on the spelling of Monongahela! I actually had to look it up! :-) Thanks for the comment.
