Inspire Me Thursday-Best of 2007

For me, the best thing to come out of 2007 was a portrait I painted for my mom for Christmas.

My father died 5 years ago. He was a remarkable man who cherished the simple joys in life: family gatherings; his grandkids; a long hike in the woods; homemade spaghetti. As I observed the generations at our family party, I could see his gentle spirit echoing through each child and adult. He has lived on through the smiles, love and support that continues in our family and beyond.
