Inspire Me Thursday "Giving"

For our family, the greatest gift we have received has been the gift of our children. Our youngest child was adopted, and this painting "She's Always There" acknowledges the fact that my son's birth mother will always be a part of his life, even when she's not physically present.

That is a gorgeous peice! Our son (our only child) is adopted too; we got him at birth. The birth mother was not in very good circumstances to keep him; it truly is a wonderful gift that we were able to adopt him. He is now 16 years old!

Thank you all for your comments. Paula, I'm glad to hear about your 16-year-old son. Life is amazing, isn't it? And so unpredictable. Patricia, I hope that you realize the gift you've given to your birth child's adoptive family, the fingerprint you've left. When I look at my son's big green eyes and dimples I often tell him that those are his birth mother's beautiful eyes.

I love this painting and the way you handled the colors in the light and in the shade. It's a lovely tribute to the woman who gave birth to your child. I'm also very grateful to have my two sons.
